DESCRIPTION:Click HERE for Registration and Information\nThe BRAVE RACE is held each year on behalf of the Joyful Child Foundation in Memory of Samantha Runnion. The Joyful Child Foundation is dedicated to preventing crimes against children through education and community outreach to help children be safe. \nYour participation benefits The Joyful Child Be Brave-Be Safe empowerment programs for children and teens. \nWe are all practicing safe physical distancing to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus – and this is critical. However\, we cannot lose sight of our physical and mental health during this time. A virtual run provides us the ability to exercise safely while also socially interacting with our community (online). While in-person engagement is ideal\, online interaction can be a healthy way to reconnect with friends\, family\, and our running community. If running or walking a set distance is not your stride\, please join us for the 20 for 10 Protect Joy Challenge. \n  \nEVENT INFO\n\n5K/10K/1K\nSelect your distance and enjoy at your own pace. You can run\, jog\, walk your 5K\, 10K\, or 1K\, on the treadmill\, on a track or along a route of your choosing between March 3rd and March 13th. \nYou may use the free RaceJoy app to track your run/walk and it will automatically submit your time. If you are running on a treadmill or do not wish to use the RaceJoy app while running outdoors\, you may submit your time on RaceJoy’s website. \n\n20 for 10 Protect Joy Challenge\nRun\, walk\, skip or dance… Just “move” for 20 minutes daily for 10 days from March 3rd to March 13th. Once you’ve completed your daily activity\, you may submit your daily accomplishment on RaceJoy’s website. \n\n
