"My goal in establishing The Joyful Child Foundation was to give every caring adult the information and resources they need to better protect the children in their community.
Since our inception, my hope has been fueled by the dedication of countless Donors, Joyful Volunteers, BRAVE Teachers, and Community Partners who have made it possible for us to research, develop, and implement programs that unite communities in our most important purpose: to protect and empower every child to reach their highest potential."
Message from Founding Director, Erin Runnion
"Children need to be taught how to do things. They need to be taught how to walk, count, read, do homework, drive, manage money. Children also need to be taught how to stay safe. The Joyful Child teaches children and parents that every child has the right to say when they are uncomfortable. And they have the power, both verbally and physically, to protect themselves. We teach this lesson and the skills to back it up. In doing this we help protect the joy that is inherent to every child. This is why I’m so proud to dedicate my time, energy, and support to The Joyful Child."
Daryl Tallon (Chair) - Message from The Joyful Child’s Board Chairman
